Rhinegold Interview Julian Joseph ahead of Chineke! Orchestra at Africa Utopia Performance

Chineke! Orchestra returns to London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall for a concert featuring three giants of the piano on Saturday 21 July at 7.30pm.

Pianist, organist and conductor Wayne Marshall will lead Chineke! in a programme that includes Gershwin’s virtuoso jazz band version of Rhapsody in Blue, with soloist Stewart Goodyear making his QEH debut. A new Chineke! commission, Carry That Sound, by Black British jazz musician Julian Joseph, also receives its world premiere alongside works by Copland, Weill and Ibert.
