Chineke! Stateside: Trip to New York and Virginia

The Chineke! Ensemble recently travelled to New York, performing two evening concerts at The Africa Center, followed by a Saturday afternoon Family Concert. The ensemble also dropped into WQXR to perform, plus a private brunch performance in Virginia. This is ahead of exciting plans for Chineke! to return to the USA next year - watch this space!

After a busy few days in the USA, the group travelled back to the UK to perform in Chatham at the Royal Dockyard Church (University of Kent). Randall Goosby, Julliard student and Chineke! violinist, held a warmly received Q&A session.

See highlights of the trip below:

The Africa Center

The reception of Chineke! Ensemble was better than could be expected with an A-list of audience members and immediate support for the future USA tour. Chineke! is showcasing some of the best collaborations of international musicians that I think will be very well received with the timely topic of diversity/inclusion in classical music in the US.
