Elevate channels £3 million of National Lottery funding into improving the resilience of organisations making a significant contribution to the Creative Case for Diversity, to encourage an increase of diverse led organisations.

With the support of £100,000 from the Arts Council’s Elevate Fund, Chineke! will support its move to new offices, as well as enhancing its staffing across development, marketing and learning & participation. This will help Chineke! fulfil its ambition to increase income, earned and contributed, and to reach a wider audience.

Our sincere thanks to Arts Council of England for believing in Chineke!'s vision for Classical Music. This support means everything and will help us elevate our work even further. We also offer our congratulations to all our fellow grant recipients who are doing incredible work to foster diversity in all its forms in the arts.

The Elevate award from Arts Council England is an enormous boost for Chineke!. Having enjoyed many artistic successes over the past four years, which have been recognised by our being the first recipient of the Royal Philharmonic Society “Gamechanger” award at the end of 2019, this grant will ensure that we can consolidate our governance structure and look to the future with greater confidence than ever before. Thank you, Arts Council England, for this invaluable support.
